Can: "Sing Swan Song"

Here's a 1973 peformance of Can playing "Sing Swan Song" in Paris. On his new record, Graduation, Kanye West mimics Damo Suzuki's cadences from the song. The track "Drunk and Hot Girls" could even be framed around a mis-hearing of Suzuki's lyrics, which most web-based lyrics sites list as "drunky hot bowls."

Sonic Youth – Teenage Riot

I just saw Sonic Youth last Friday play live at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. They played the entire Daydream Nation album. It was incredible. It reminded me of me being 16 and discovering that record for the first time. What a show!!! So here is a little reminder of what a great record Daydream Nation is.

This was all in celebration of the wonderful compilation album "From LA With Love" Our man Theo Jemison was on the spot with many cameras in hand to catch all the action.
