ELEVATION THROUGH SOUND'S MUSIC VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Adachi Tomomi - Voice and Infrared Sensor Shirt

This video is something that didn’t grab my attention because of the music itself, but the interaction and the process of getting to those sounds, simply incredible. Thank you Amnion for the tip.

MORPHO'S MUSIC MOVIE MADHOUSE

Scott Walker - 30th Century Man

Here’s an extended trailer featuring a selection of clips from the forthcoming Scott Walker documentary. It was filmed while he was working on his album The Drift and captures some awesome studio moments, including the now famous meat punch percussion. This is what a musical brainiac’s nightmare sounds like…

ELEVATION THROUGH SOUND'S MUSIC VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Hermeto Pascoal - Sinfonia do Alto Ribeira

Thank you Amnion for showing me this clip. Amnion told me this show in the water was supposed to be a benefit for the rainforest, so Hermeto Pascoal suggested that if it was going to benefit the rainforest, they should do it right there… and that’s what they did.

ELEVATION THROUGH SOUND'S MUSIC VIDEO OF THE WEEK

R. Stevie Moore - I Like To Stay Home

R. Stevie Moore - I Wish I Could Sing

R. Stevie Moore - Alecia

Here is not one but three videos of the week, all of them by one of the greatest songwriters, musicians, and who knows what else, that the US has ever offered R. Stevie Moore (and if you don’t’ believe me, go ask Ariel Pink). The “I Like to Stay Home” video is from 1986. The “I Wish I Could Sing” video is from 1976. And the “Alecia” video is from 1986.

Tommy's Tubes

Keith Tippett & His Music. Great musician. Better knowns as the pianist of King Crimson, but he's so much more.

Nice Soft Machine documentary.

Kraftwerk in the early days. 1970 on German television.
If you like this, check their record they made under the name Organization. The title is Tone Float.

MORPHO'S FREEDOM BLAST

Ween - Freedom of '76

Freedom of ’76 is an early Spike Jonze gem that has mysteriously been absent from recent DVD collections of his work. The video finds the brothers Ween walking through a public frenzy after being arrested for stealing the Liberty Bell. Jonze framed the press blitz scene with a realism that had some viewers convinced Ween had actually committed the crime. Thanks to Gus for the heads up on the link.

ELEVATION THROUGH SOUND'S MUSIC VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Spacemen 3 – Big City

One of my favorite songs by them and of all times. Not much more I can say about it…

MORPHO'S RETRO SPACE CASE

The Spotnicks - The Rocket Man

The last post from Elevation Through Sound inspired me to keep things in space, the place. And so, here are the Spotniks, '60s moon soldiers with an intergalactic guitar to grind.
