ELEVATION THROUGH SOUND'S MUSIC VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Die Doraus & Die Marinas - Fred vom Jupiter

An old hit 1982, I can’t believe was ever in the charts. I got a copy of this song originally through a friend of mine that had it on cassette. I thought I was the only one that knew about it, until I realized that many more like me were out there.

MORPHO'S FINE-FEATHERED FLASHBACK

Edgard Varèse - Poeme Electronique

A multi-media piece created for the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair by the pioneering trinity of Edgard Varèse, Le Corbusier and Iannis Xenakis. In its original manifestation the poem featured 425 speakers positioned throughout Le Corbusier’s Philips Pavilion, an intricately arranged space that opened ears to new electronic sounds and kept eyes swirling with fluttery film projections.

The Pastels – Crawl Babies

An old favorite of mine, good old indie pop. Makes me want to go to the club wearing my pajamas.

Cabaret Voltaire – Nag Nag Nag

I just watched a great documentary last week called Made In Sheffield. It reminded me of how much I like CV, so here it, one of their best tracks.

Shack – I Know You Well

I don't think this band did very well in the US, although I think in the UK they did pretty well. Former members of Pale Fountains. Great song.

ELEVATION THROUGH SOUND'S MUSIC VIDEO OF THE WEEK

BBC documentary on Harry Partch

This documentary is about one of my favorite composers of all times. The documentary is divided in six parts, so sit back and enjoy the interviews, the music and the rare footage.
